Best NordicTrack Treadmills

NordicTrack as a company has been around since 1975 and have continued to manufacture and revolutionize cardio for the standard gym goer. I’m sure at some point in your life, you’ve come across a NordicTrack treadmill or have even used one yourself.

Personally, I have used many from simple experiences at the gym, and I also know many of my friends who own one and swear by them.

Because of this I decided to sit down and think what NordicTrack treadmills are best for you guys in your homes.

People are always looking for ways to get workout equipment into their own house and I always believe a treadmill is a great addition as long as you have the space in your home.

Before we look directly into these NordicTrack treadmills however, let’s first understand why you would want a treadmill in your home and also what types of treadmills NordicTrack has to offer as well.

Why Would You Want a Treadmill?

I’d say the main reason why you’d ever want a treadmill in your home is straight up for the convenience.

I’m not going to lie, I love going to the gym, but there are definitely some days where I don’t feel like leaving my house and going somewhere.

What happens at a time like this? While I certainly can just give up and not workout for the day, I also can have the option to hop on a NordicTrack treadmill and get the exercise that I need.

This convenience cannot be overstated as it has continually saved me on days where I’m tired or sore.

I simply start up the treadmill, change into my workout gear, and have a nice one or two hour cardio session on the treadmill. The best part about it is that I do it in front of my TV so it doesn’t even feel like I’m working out at all.

The second reason you might want to get a treadmill is to avoid paying gym fees. I’m a guy who is always going to want a gym membership, but I understand not everyone wants to be going to the gym, they want a workout they can get at home. NordicTrack treadmills might be expensive up front, but think of it as an investment.

Depending on the gym fees in your area, after two to three years, that treadmill will have paid for itself.

I always encourage going to the gym, but if that scene isn’t for you, a NordicTrack treadmill can at least help you get the fitness that you are looking for.

Types of NordicTrack Treadmills

Within NordicTrack itself, there are several different branches of treadmills that you have to choose from.

When I start to talk about the individual products, I’m going to make a point to mention where they fit in.

These branches can help give you an idea of what to expect out of a NordicTrack treadmill and will also help guide your decision should you decide to purchase one.

T Series Treadmills

The T Series Treadmills from NordicTrack are the basic treadmills that you can find if you are looking for a budget option that still has a ton of features and power.

If you are looking for a standard home treadmill, this is one that you are going to want to look into.

These types of treadmills do have the ability to incline and offer a Smart HD touchscreen that you can use to help get an interactive workout from the comfort of your own home.

Commercial Treadmills

These are a step up from the NordicTrack T Series treadmills and improve on all the features that it has.

You now have access to studio classes or you can go for trail runs on this baby using the touch screen. These are the treadmills that you are going to see pop up in gyms.

With a larger touchscreen, these NordicTrack treadmills offer a lot of bang for their buck and still can fit in your home gym.

Commercial Incline Treadmills

These are the cream of the crop when it comes to NordicTrack treadmills. These have an industry leading 6% decline and 40% decline and offer speeds from 0-12 mph.

With a massive touchscreen on there and access to tons of different workout classes and programs, you are going to get an amazing workout with this thing in your home.

These are the flagship NordicTrack treadmills so you can expect them to be more expensive than the others as well.

Now that I’ve covered the types of treadmills NordicTrack has, I think it’s time I get into talking about the products themselves and what they have to offer.

I made it a point to try each one and push myself to the limit to see how they responded. That way I know how they are going to hold up should you decide to do the same.

Top 7 Best NordicTrack Treadmills

#1. NordicTrack Commercial X32i - Best Treadmill

I couldn't have a review of NordicTrack treadmills without talking about this beast first.

I talked about flagships above, and this thing is the flagship of flagships.

Now I have to warn you, this thing isn’t cheap, but oh man is it good.

The deck on this treadmill has Reflex Cushioning technology which will help to reduce stress in your feet as you run for a prolonged period of time.

  • 32 in HD Smart Touchscreen
  • Quiet Drive Incline Tech
  • Interactive Personal Training
  • Live Speed + Incline + Decline Control

As it is a commercial incline treadmill, you are going to be getting those incline and decline levels that I mentioned above.

This baby has heart rate tracking and access to plenty of different workouts for you to choose from. NordicTrack really put everything into this treadmill and it definitely is the best treadmill overall on this list if you disregard the price.

Coming in with a 32” Smart HD Touchscreen, you are going to be able to watch whatever you want on it or watch your workouts clear.

The only downside I can think of when it comes to this treadmill is the fact that you can’t fold it up and put it away. Once it’s there in your living room or workout space, it isn’t going away, so plan accordingly.

#2. NordicTrack Commercial X22i

The NordicTrack Commercial X22i is just one step down from the X32i and is still a beast in its own way.

The main differences between this treadmill and the X32i is that the Touchscreen itself is 10” smaller, the horsepower on the motor is a little less, and the heart rate grips are different.

You can still get up to 12mph on this thing though, so don’t worry about losing much speed.

  • 22 in HD Smart Touchscreen
  • Quiet Drive Incline Tech
  • Interactive Personal Training
  • Live Speed + Incline + Decline Control

In terms of using this NordicTrack treadmill I could tell there was a difference between the two, however it wasn’t that big.

I still loved the X32i and would definitely go back to it, however if you are looking to get top performance on a treadmill, but want to save a few dollars, this is still a great alternative for you.

The treadmill and deck itself are a little smaller as well, though not considerably smaller. This honestly might even help you when it comes to placing it in your home.

Like the X32i, this thing is also not foldable so plan ahead when it comes to this bad boy.

I love these commercial incline models and swear by them when it comes to getting a great home workout.

#3. NordicTrack Commercial 2950

Moving on to the Commercial series now, you’re still getting a great treadmill in the 2950.

You aren’t going to have nearly the amount of customization when it comes to incline and decline as it is capped between -3% and 15%, but I will say if you are looking to just go on a standard run, this is a great treadmill for you.

The cushioning on the deck itself is not as good as the commercial inclines, but it still does the job and I don’t notice my feet getting too sore on it, even after an extended workout.

  • 22 in HD Smart Touchscreen
  • 15% Live Incline Control / -3% Live Decline Control
  • Interactive Personal Training
  • Bluetooth Headphone Connectivity

You are getting the same touchscreen that you get with the X22i and as for heart rate monitoring, you are getting a Bluetooth chest strap.

I would recommend this treadmill for someone who is serious about working out, but isn’t trying to do crazy things with their treadmill.

While the commercial incline NordicTrack treadmills are amazing, I do understand that not everyone cares for their treadmill to have that amount of incline or decline.

This allows you to save some money at the expense of that ability. I also almost forgot to mention, but this treadmill can be folded up and stored, making it easy to move things around when you need to.

#4. NordicTrack Commercial 2450

Going a step lower now, you are really starting to get a smaller HD screen as the Commercial 2450 only has a 14” HD touchscreen.

I think I only notice this because I’m used to the massive 32” screen on the commercial incline that I use.

That being said, you are still getting access to a ton of different workout programs and there are pulse grips and wireless monitoring capabilities with this treadmill.

  • 14 in HD Smart Touchscreen
  • Heart Rate Monitoring
  • Interactive Personal Training
  • 4.0 CHP DurX Commercial Plus Motor

The cushioning was the same as the Commercial 2950 so my feet were feeling good after my workout.

Keeping with the trend in commercial treadmills, this one does fold up as well and I found a lot of people were quite happy with that.

The major difference between the above model and this one is that you are getting less horsepower so it will take a little longer to get to speed, but it’s not a big deal in any way.

In the case of these NordicTrack treadmills, the 2450 is actually slightly bigger than the 2950 although the deck size is exactly the same. Upgrading to the 2950 does allow you to save some space in your home gym.

#5. NordicTrack Commercial 1750

I’m sure you’re already starting to get an understanding of how these treadmills change but I’ll still give you all the information.

Keeping in line with the other Commercial treadmills, you are getting a larger treadmill with a smaller HD touch screen (this time it’s 10”).

As I said before, it shouldn’t be a big deal for most people, I’m just particular and used to it being large.

  • Product dimensions: 72"(L) x 34" x (W) x 70"(H)
  • Two 3” Digitally-Amplified Speakers
  • 22” x 60” Commercial Tread Belt
  • Integrated Tray / Pivoting Tablet Holder

In terms of running however, I didn’t notice much of a difference between the others. The other NordicTrack treadmills were definitely more responsive because they had a higher horsepower, but because they all have the same Flex Cushioning, I’m getting a similar experience each time.

There are some slight differences with the sensors, as they do have to make some sacrifices to bring you a cheaper product. Overall though, this is still a great treadmill and I definitely enjoy running on it.

#6. NordicTrack EXP 10i

Alright, we’ve moved onto the T-series treadmills, the ones for those who are looking for a great workout experience but are on a budget.

These sport the lowest horsepower out of the groups and also use a FlexSelect Cushioning on the deck.

While it was comfortable in the short term, I did find the bottom of my feet starting to hurt after many days and hours of working out.

  • 10″ HD touchscreen
  • Incline and decline range of -3% to +12%
  • Dimensions: 79.9"" L x 35.08"" W x 59.25" H
  • Top Speed: 12 MPH

You are losing some of your incline ability here as now you are only able to incline up to 12% but you can still decline up to 3%.

Overall, I did enjoy this treadmill and I was able to get my workouts done, however I would consider upgrading to some of the better models just to take advantage of everything that NordicTrack offers.

#7. NordicTrack EXP 7i

This is the base model from NordicTrack so if you are on a budget, this is going to be the cheapest treadmill for you.

The touch screen drops down to 7” in size and you lose the ability to decline the treadmill.

That being said, you are still getting a quality product with interactive workouts that you can use to help guide your fitness journey.

  • 7″ HD touchscreen
  • Automatic Trainer Control
  • FlexSelect™ Cushioning
  • Bluetooth Headphone Connectivity

I know I might not sound the most enthused about some of these models, but you have to understand, when I’m used to top of the line, it can be slightly difficult to drop into an entry level piece of equipment.

These are absolutely perfect if you are looking for a good piece of gym equipment that you can use in your home.

The fact that it is foldable as well helps it case. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with the NordicTrack EXP 7i.

Why I Love NordicTrack

If you didn’t guess already, I love each of these treadmills and stand by them. NordicTrack has always offered fantastic products that are marketed to all types of people.

If you are looking for a top of the line experience, you can find it, if you are looking for a simple way to get your workout done, NordicTrack can help you also.

With so many products out there, there is a reason why NordicTrack treadmills are some of the best on the market.

How To Tell What Treadmill Is Best For You

I’ll admit, it can be very intimidating looking at this list of NordicTrack treadmills and deciding which one is best for you.

As there are price differences as well, you want something that you can feel comfortable and confident with. You should be basing your purchase around the following:

  • Size - First and foremost, the treadmill has to fit in your home
  • Functionality - Does the NordicTrack treadmill have the features that you are looking for?
  • Budget - In a perfect world, you could get everything for free, but unfortunately you have to make a purchase that makes sense for your financial situation.
  • Portability - To some people, being able to fold and store your treadmill is quite important

Normally, I would talk about interactive workouts here as well, but all NordicTrack treadmills come with interactive workouts that you can use to improve your experience at home.

Where Can I Get a NordicTrack Treadmill?

If you want to get your own NordicTrack treadmill in your home, you can easily pick one up by going to their website.

I always recommend buying straight from the manufacturer as it makes customer support and service that much easier. This way you can go directly through them to solve and address your concerns.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I can’t say enough good things about NordicTrack treadmills. They have continued to revolutionize the industry and offer fantastic products with a great deal of features that will make your workouts that much better.

Whether you are looking for a serious training tool, or something that you can casually use to help you get more fit, NordicTrack has you covered and they can definitely hook you up with whatever you are looking for.
