Today, we have another staple of the BioSteel family of hydration products - this time, the BioSteel Hydration Mix.
Even though it might seem to be fairly similar given that they’re both hydration supplements, this one deserves its own review and I was very excited to write it just as I was with the sports hydration drink.

Once again, if you’re read the BioSteel Sports Hydration Drink review, then you’ll be familiar with this little section about BioSteel and who they are.

Taste and Flavor
What you might really be looking for is how well the BioSteel Hydration Mix tastes and that’s something that I’m pleased to say was as smashing of a hit as the Sports Hydration Drink.
Naturally, the main goal of any sports hydration mix or drink is to provide equal parts effectiveness and taste, but BioSteel actually achieves this.

You can see that there is plenty to pick and choose from. I’ve tried the Mixed Berry and Rainbow Twist for the Sports Hydration Drink, and this time, for the Hydration Mix, I gave Blue Raspberry a go and was very happy.

Something that the BioSteel Hydration Mix shares with the Sports Hydration Drink is how light it feels because it’s zero sugar, but it doesn’t compromise on a full-body flavor. Zero sugar means it doesn’t upset the stomach but it feels anything but watered-down.
My Experience with BioSteel Hydration Mix
My experience with BioSteel Hydration Mix was also very pleasant, just like the taste.
In addition to the commitment to a healthy hydration product and a crisp flavor, it mixed incredibly well.
No clumps or residue were left at the bottom and it dissolved quickly in seconds which is crucial when you need to throw some in your shaker bottle or water bottle while on the go, especially at work or on the bench during a game.
Instead of testing it out during a moderate cycling session, this time I wanted to see how well the Hydration Mix would help during a 90-minute flag football game. My league isn’t ultra-competitive, but I’m far from the natural athlete I was back in the day so I knew this would do a good job showcasing if it worked well or not.
Thankfully, the BioSteel Hydration Mix kept me playing at a high level all game. I mixed one sleeve into my water bottle and felt charged up for the whole game. No cramps, legs were churning, and a nice little Blue Raspberry taste wasn’t a bad prize for hard work either!

Final Thoughts
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I’m once again blown away with the quality of product that BioSteel was able to produce.
Not only is it high-quality in terms of clean, healthy, and necessary ingredients, but it doesn’t sacrifice on the taste and flavor whatsoever, allowing you to get the benefits and enjoy it at the same time. Not to mention, it mixes with ease and fits in your gym bag just as effectively.
